Lived Experience in Wraparound: Where Hardship Meets Helpfulness

Lived Experience in Wraparound: Where Hardship Meets Helpfulness
Join us on Tuesday, April 28th from 10-11:30am!
This is a 1.5-hour coaching-oriented workshop that supports Youth Support Specialists in Wraparound developing effective strategic sharing skills! Together we will engage in discussion, scenarios, and activities in a responsive and supportive learning environment. Let’s learn about the significance of lived experience, and how to share with care, together.
Our goal is for you to leave this workshop having gained the ability to explain the significance of lived experience to wraparound partners and youth, practice strategic sharing that reduces harm, and improve your Wraparound peer support skills through intentional, careful shares.
We are so excited to see you there, and practice this essential skill of strategically sharing our lived experience.
Learning Objectives:
Explain the benefits and significance of lived experience in peer work
Practice intentional strategic sharing that is youth-focused, avoids oversharing, and maintains healthy boundaries
Implement effective strategic sharing that helps rather than harms peers [trauma informed]
Apply these skills in wraparound using your own experience of navigating systems
This workshop is a group coaching opportunity and also provides 1.5 continuing education credits for Traditional Health Workers upon completion! ✨
