Cultural Responsivity: Applying Positionality to Peer Practice (OHA-SPONSORED)
Cultural Responsivity: Applying Positionality to Peer Practice (OHA-SPONSORED)
Join us for a lively 1.5-hour workshop designed for Youth Support Specialists working with youth both inside and outside of Wraparound. We'll chat about how being culturally and linguistically responsive can make a big difference in connecting with young people and their families. Together, we'll explore youth culture and share ideas on staying attuned to their evolving identities and experiences. We'll also introduce the concept of positionality, encouraging you to reflect on how your own background and experiences shape your approach to peer support. Through engaging discussions and shared insights, this is a great chance to learn, grow, and connect with others in a supportive setting. Plus, you’ll earn 1.5 continuing education credits for Traditional Health Workers, and it’s a wonderful group coaching opportunity too!
