Britney was born in Oxnard, California. After a few years, her family moved back to her parents' home town on the Oregon Coast because her dad was no longer serving in the Navy. Britney has four brothers and one sister, and her family has always been a high priority in her life.

Britney was very close to her cousins and siblings growing up. When she was in the sixth grade, her younger cousin was diagnosed with cancer. After years of on and off treatment, her cousin passed away during Britney's senior year. She became cold and distant from her family and close friends. She ended up moving away and became sad and isolated. In school, Britney's grades began to suffer. After a toxic relationship, she realized that it was time to reconnect with her people and get refocused on what she wanted in life. She moved back home to be with her strongest support system and worked hard to get back to where she wanted to be.

Before stumbling upon Youth Era, Britney had been working full time at a bakery and going to school online to finish her Bachelor's degree. Her job was draining and not the kind of work that she wanted to be doing; she was determined to find a new job that was meaningful. When she found Youth Era, she was instantly attracted to the team, its philosophies, and morals as an organization. Britney soon knew that she had found her spot. She loves the connections and bonds she can make with youth and is thrilled to have the opportunity to make a difference in her community.

Britney is a big family person and spends most of her free time with her siblings, family, and friends. Her friends call her “B” or “Bird.” When she's not at work, she enjoys hiking, swimming, traveling, and trying new food!
